My name is Charlain Bailey. I was a school counselor at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland for over eighteen years and a Montgomery Public School System employee for thirty years. My passion is changing the lives of first generation college students and their families through the power of education.

In keeping with that passion, I have established the Bailey’s Dream: FirstGen Scholarship Fund to provide financial support to those students. This scholarship will be available to graduating seniors from Montgomery Blair High School that plan to pursue an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree as a first generation college student.
