Jacob Needs Hernia Repair Surgery!
Donation protected
My name is Amanda Bailey. My goal is to raise money for my husband, William Jacob Bailey, to finally have the hernia repair surgery he desperately needs.

In June 2014, only two weeks after our wedding, Jacob was driving down Madison Street when he was t-boned by a driver coming off of Hillcrest Drive in Clarksville, TN. The accident totaled our car, and Jacob needed an emergency appendectomy. He also developed an umbilical hernia resulting from the surgery.

We took legal action to help cover medical expenses. After months of waiting, we eventually found out that our lawyer was dropping our case due to the fact that the surgeon refused to get involved in legal matters.

Jacob's mother also suddenly passed away during this time. We were fighting an uphill battle against medical debt and funeral expenses.
He also suffers from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and acid/bile reflux. These conditions are aggravating the hernia extremely. The IBS causes gas to get trapped inside the hernia, causing it to stretch and expand, making it worse and worse every day. Especially over the past year, eating has been unbearable for him. He has lost almost 70 pounds. We do everything we can to help the IBS symptoms, including putting him on an extreme elimination diet to rule out IBS triggers.

The unfortunate fact is that regardless of how badly he needs this surgery, we simply can't afford it. He's been denied every financial assistance that he's applied for.
Eventually we were told that crowd-funding was our best shot.
My husband is a kind, loving, hard-working person, and I can't stand by and watch him live like this anymore. He puts on a brave face in public, but truthfully he is at the end of his rope. No one deserves to live in constant pain.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any help, even just a share on social media, means the world to me.
