Hi everyone, I'm Neal Bailey and it's been my goal over the last 8 years to develop the next American Super Muscle car! I know this sounds a bit crazy but up until now I and a small team have manage to develop a full functioning proof of concept / prototype. And now we need the help of our fans. Continue reading...
The last couple of years have been full of ups and downs in not only developing the Blade, but the company as well. There were many highs all through SEMA and lots of hard work went into the Blade Supercar and BXR Motors to get it where it is today, it's been a thrilling ride as you can imagine. But as you all may know, BXR Motors is a fairly new startup company. I started building the Blade in my garage in 2008 and I had a crazy idea that I might just be able to churn out a few more Blades to people due to the overwhelming interest.
During 2013 and 2014 we put together a big team with investors and lots of money to help put us into production. Usually, that's a good thing. But, due to lack of experience as a whole it didn't last nor go in the direction that I wanted, therefore the Bailey Blade car was not built exactly the way I had dreamed and imagined it. Things were cut short due to very tight timelines in order to make it to SEMA and few other shows so some things had to be omitted in the design and development to be revisited at a later time. After SEMA and the first part of 2014 things took a down turn with funding as we had a few internal issues with leadership and company direction. Keep in mind this is very typical of a new startup and learning the ropes with how to pull this off, it is certainly difficult. There are no books to read on how to start a car company or build a supercar so the learning curve was overwhelming for most of the team members. In essence the company dissolved and everyone went their own way.
Project Phoenix:
I'm not one to give up... besides, this has been my baby for 7 years working out of my own garage on my dime. So I had to step in and regained control to save what I have worked so hard for. I called it project Phoenix and revived BXR with a new fiery vision and a new team (Really just me and one other dude). It was time to focus on what I set out to do and deliver the Bailey Blade to the people.
The support over all these years has been amazing, and if it wasn't for everyone's great complement, suggestions and pat on the backs I am not sure I could have made it this far.
How can you help?
We are very close to getting the car into production, however I am personally out of funds and cannot take it any further without financial support. I could go and seek more investors and take out crazy loans etc.
However I feel that with everyone's support and as little as $5 bucks, we as a Group of passionate MotorHeads could together do something that is Iconic, Historical and just plain Awesome! With your support we can finish bringing this car to life and put it in the hands of everyone, places like TopGear, Jay Leno or see it on TV or the next big Movie. Everyone can be a part of this dream, and make it a reality!
Watch this documentary that my nephew Garrett Schwindt did for his school final.
See a wicked burnout of the only prototype.
Don't worry if you can't spare the spread... I understand. Just simply share this on everything social, FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, write it on the back of your hand, it all helps. Just keep talking about what we are doing to everyone and spread the word.
Feel free to ask me questions or leave a comment.
