Bailey Teague’s Brain Surgery
Donation protected

She was diagnosed with a cavernoma (lesion) in the left frontal lobe of her brain. For the last 2-3 years we have tried different Drs and medicines to control the seizures she has.
We we have had to call an ambulance multiple times, and multiple hospital stays.
A specialist in Okla City said an operation was too risky to her speech and memory functions. So, we continued trying different meds and dosages.
At one point, she was seizure free for 6 months, and drove again. However, that ended with a seizure that caused a 3 car accident...Luckily, no he was hurt, but Bailey was back to not driving. And the car her Mother had gotten for her to drive was totaled.
She will be 20 in March, and has never been able to hold a job, has had to stop driving, unable to live a normal teenage life.
I decided to contact the Mayo Clinic and in October, 2019, Bailey and I made our first trip for tests and an in hospital study at the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in Rochester, MN.
We were then told surgery WAS an option! That we do have options to move toward a permanent cure and allow her to live her life like a normal 19 year old! Praise the Lord!!
Feb 14, 2020, our Valentine’s Day was spent at the Mayo hospital with Bailes in surgery for almost 5 hours.
Feb 19, we are home with Bailes recuperating. All the friends, family and people we don’t even know praying is such a blessing. As of this date, NO SEIZURES SINCE SURGERY!!! She is still on anti seizure meds, but before surgery she was still seizing thru the meds, sometimes as many as 4 seizures a day.
Mayo financial aid has reduced our bills some, but between the travel and lodging costs, and residual medical bills after insurance paid their part, we are needing some help.

Our goal is to get Bailey on her feet, healthy and get a job to support herself.
Bailey is so strong and beautiful!
Any help would be appreciated to help us meet these expenses. Thank you to all for the continued prayers and emotional support we receive.
God bless!!
