Bailey Penrod's Memorial Service

Donation protected
I am creating this campaign on behalf of Bailey Penrod's  family with their permission. I began as a friend to the family because my youngest son, Markus, was great friends with Bailey, and then my oldest son, Isaac, married Bailey's sister, Meghan, and we all became extended family. Yet the connections didn't stop there: I also had the joy of teaching his precious girlfriend, Taylor Mansker, who Bailey absolutely adored and gave six years of his life to.

Bailey was killed instantly, last Saturday, when his motorcycle hit the passenger side of another vehicle. (Our thoughts, prayers, and messages have also been extended to the family and friends of the driver of this vehicle.) Bailey's death at 23 has shocked not only family, but the community as well: his mother, father, siblings, and grandparents have been inundated with loving, comforting, and healing thoughts and messages from people who adored Bailey as well as strangers who didn't know him. Sadly, we mustn't forget, Tank, his beloved and spoiled Pit Bull 'baby' who will, likewise, miss him immensely.

Everyone who knew Bailey, understood his profound love for the freedom a motorcycle or dirt bike stirred in him. We are trying to take comfort from knowing that this is the way Bailey would have wanted to go. Like his dad, James Penrod, said, "When Bailey does something, he does it all the way." Bailey always had a hug and a charming smile to give; he was adventurous and fearless; he was a cool uncle; he was competitive and talented on a dirt bike and snowboard; he was skilled with his hands as he proved over and over while working for his Aunt Holly and Uncle Kevin; he was a loyal friend to many; but most importantly, he was a son and a brother.

His mom, Donna, his dad, James, and his siblings, want to say their final goodbye with a memorial service that will give them some  closure and allow them to begin healing. They are in the process of putting together Bailey's funereal services and are planning the memorial for early next week. All the funds generated from this campaign will help pay for cremation expenses, the venue, and his memorial. Please let me humbly thank each of you in advance for your contributions; any amount will collectively help lessen the anxiety and pain this unexpected expense will be.

Meghan Schmitt-Jones and her mom, Donna Sena, will have access to all the donations.
