A SAVAGE PIT BULL ATTACK!!
My name is Jeanne and my furry little boy is Bailey. On June 4th, I took Bailey outside so he could take care of his business. We weren’t five feet from my front door when out of nowhere, two very vicious, unleashed, unmuzzled pit bulls grabbed Bailey. One sunk his teeth into Bailey’s chest, and the other sunk his teeth into Bailey's thigh, and they began to pull. As total mayhem erupted in my front yard, the owner and very courageous neighbors worked at separating Bailey and getting him to safety.
After six hours at the emergency hospital in the critical care unit, they decided to anesthetize Bailey so they could shave, clean, and suture the affected areas. The vet recommended a total body X-ray to ensure that there were no serious internal injuries or broken bones and to make sure all of the random puncture wounds were addressed. After two and a half hours in surgery and an overnight stay at the hospital, Bailey was released with multiple stitches and a drain tube. It will take time to see whether my sweet, furry boy will return to his loving little self.
As a senior living on a fixed income, the vet bills have already become a hardship for me. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your generosity!!
BTW - the two pit bulls were not leashed or collared and they ran after they did all this damage. I (we) no nothing about these dogs or their owner!
