Bailey Chatterton Moser's fight to beat cancer!

Donation protected

Anyone who knows Bailey, knows that she is a very strong girl. If she sets her mind to something, she will achieve it! this time will be no different in her fight to BEAT CANCER!! Bailey was diagnosed with Botyroides Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma just 6 weeks after getting married to the love of her life in August of this year.
What was thought to be recurrent kidney stones and infections for months ended up being a tumor growing inside her ureter. From day one of finding out the diagnosis, Bailey has held her head high and stayed extremely positive that she will defeat this. Her attitude is so inspiring and is what will carry her and her loved ones through this journey. Last week, she had a 7 hour surgery to remove her tumor, and a large amount of her ureter. She has been so exhausted and in pain as she has been healing from this intense surgery, but she is so grateful to have the tumor removed from her body.
After meeting with her doctor at Primary Children's Hospital, she learned that she will spend the next 42 weeks receiving a heavy dosage of Chemotherapy and considering the lasting effects that it could have on her body in the future, Bailey and her husband Jake have decided to start with fertility treatments to do an egg retrieval and save her eggs for their future family. She has already began this process at Primary Children's and will continue to for two more weeks.
As soon as that process is complete, she will have her port put in, and have a bone marrow biopsy performed and then will immediately begin her chemotherapy treatments.
She will be required to drive to Salt Lake City at least once a week during the next year, and depending on her body responds to this, she will hopefully be doing most of her treatments outpatient.
The journey will be long and exhausting, for both her and Jake. Although they do have health insurance that will cover a lot of the medical bills there are still so many costs that have already began to arise, and will continue to.

Her insurance will not be covering any of her fertility treatments to preserve her eggs, but Bailey and Jake so badly would like to start a family of their own one day after all of this is behind them, and the only way to know for sure they can is by doing the fertility treatments.

While Covid is a secondary concern for most people, it is a primary concern for someone who is battling cancer. This means, her husband Jake will be taking time off of work to ensure he can take care of Bailey without potentially exposing her to any additional health concerns.

Thank you all so much for taking the time out of your days to pray for Bailey, and support her in any way you can. She is an extremely talented, bright and amazing young woman, who can and will beat this Cancer.
