Because it is a relationship unlike any other, our pets matter to you and me. They are family. We commit ourselves to their care and well-being; we talk with them; we love them; we are loved by them, unconditionally; and we grieve when we lose them.

I am raising funds for my precious 15-year-old fur baby, Bailey, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Kidney Disease.

Bailey is part Shih Tzu and part Terrier mix. She has been a part of our family since we rescued her at a few months old. Over the years, she has served as my emotional support/service companion. She has aided me through many of my challenges and physical disabilities.

As her time draws nearer to crossing the "Rainbow Bridge," I am making a usual and unusual request. First, that a portion of your donations be used towards Bailey's medical bills as they relate to her kidney disease, and secondly, that a portion be used to take her to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah where she can romp and play with all kinds of animals. She'll be able to experience exciting new smells, sights, sounds, and more. If there is time, her aunties and I would like to take her to California to experience the ocean and the sand between her paws. I always felt like there would be more time... but time waits for no one... not even my beloved Bailey. Thank you for your support.
