Bailes Family Medical Expenses

We’re reaching out to let you know that we are creating this GoFundMe account to assist the Bailes family, and we need your help! This family is a very caring and giving family and don't ask for anything in return.

You may have heard that John and Priscilla Bailes were recently hospitalized with complications from Covid. Although Priscilla was released after about a week, John has not been so fortunate. His condition has continued to deteriorate, and he ultimately had to be placed on an ‘ECMO’ system at St Lukes hospital. He has been on this system now for over a month. The ECMO system is highly specialized and requires a team of medical staff around the clock to manage. Even after John’s release, he will have to undergo long term physical therapy.

We all love John and know he has a fierce spirit that inspires many of us, but this fight appears to be taking its toll. The effects of this illness have been devastating to his family.

While insurance will cover a portion of the medical expenses, the ECMO treatment is extremely expensive, and a great deal of the burden will ultimately rest with John and Priscilla.

Maybe together we can all help ease the financial burden. Our goal is to raise $30,000 for them to pay off some of the medical bills. We realize much more will be needed, but this might help reduce the burden.
