BAIL FUND AND SUPPORT FOR SWAG

UPDATE: Swags hearing was pushed back until Friday...We will keep everyone posted

My partner Swag, who participated in the historic Black Lives Matter protests in New Orleans, was violently arrested while leaving a protest in Jefferson Parish. With the support of community organizers Swag was released the next day.

A week later 8 U.S. Marshall's showed up to my apartment demanding entry without showing any warrant. They arrested Swag and transported her to JP from
Orleans parish. Swag has been sitting in jail waiting on a hearing because of a probation hold. They have tacked on a bogus charge, after the fact, that was related to the protest and is completely retaliatory.  Due to the severity of the situation Swag requested a private attorney. 
My partner like so many other people do not deserve to be in there especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. We want to get Swag out as quickly as possible but understand that the system we live in was created to keep people in this system just to make a quick buck.
