Bahamian Young Rider competes World Championships

For the first time ever, the Bahamas will be represented in an Equestrian World Championship Event. My daughter, Reine Pagliaro has qualified to compete in the 2021 Endurance Young Rider World Championships to be held in Ermelo, Netherlands. Reine has been riding since she was 6 years old, and now at 17 is excelling in the discipline of endurance riding, which is essentially long distance marathon racing on horseback. Reine has qualified on her trainer's horse, Beautiful Knightmare of Stiyu Endurance. Each national team is required to present with a full crew consisting of a combination of FEI officials, vet, farrier, handlers, etc. Mobilizing Reine, the crew, and her horse half way across the globe will be a considerable expense, and so we are asking for your help to make this momentous event possible. Reine has accrued a wide network of supporters who have pledged to donate their time, equipment and supplies for this venture. We have already covered the horse's competition tack, supplements, feed and hay, on location stabling, buckets and vet check infrastructure, and cars/transportation for crew on the ground. The Bahamas Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture has arranged for Reine's competition clothing and the team shirts. Equestrian Bahamas has applied for a grant for Reine under the Bahamas Olympic committee. The ball is rolling!
The basic expenses remain, and can be generally broken down like this:
Transport for horse $20,000
Quarantine on the way home $5,000
Flights $800 each for 12 crew $9,600
Housing for the team $5,000
Total $39,600
Please consider having your company or business sponsor this event with a larger contribution of $2,000 or more. We will, of course be displaying the Bahamian flag and are happy to include any business banners or promotional items for your company's sponsorship as well.
All contributions individuals make can either go into the general fund to be used to cover expenses as needed, or you could designate a specific expense you'd like to cover, like the cost of one crew member's flight for instance, or donate sky miles. All funds will be held in a savings account in Reine's name created specifically for this venture, and will be publicly accounted for. I will send updates as any monies are spent. If, for some reason, Reine and the horse are unable to attend, or the event is rescheduled, all contributions can be refunded, or you can choose to leave the funds there to roll over to the next Championships.
