Bahamas Relief by Boat

We are raising money for supplies to bring to any available access point in the Bahamas. This includes:
- chainsaws to clear debris from the roadways
- canned food/non-perishables
- blue (waterproof) tarps to cover functioning homes with leaks
- flashlights
- basic hygienic products (feminine, infant, hand sanitizer, etc)
- first aid items
- small generators + solar banks to power them (if donations allow!)
We are running a large Contender high-speed fisherman boat that is able to make the run in 2-3 hours, depending on available entry point.
We are not asking for ANY money for fuel, solely for purchase of these materials. We believe we will be able to make at LEAST 2 runs this coming weekend between 9/7- 9/8, and will be joining ANY other donation brigade on their journey.
Who we are:
The Southard Family. We spend half of our weekends in the Bahamas, and have for over 80 years, collectively. We've been boating these waters for over 50 years, and have experienced plenty of hurricanes - but never as devastating at Dorian.
We want to use the resources available to us to help the islands - and just need your help in acquiring the supplies to do so.
EVERY little bit helps! We assure you 100% of all donations will go directly to the purchase of the supplies above, and will provide all receipts for proof. The goal is to minimize the time and change-of-hands required in delivering to secondary organizations. We know that the supplies will eventually make it to those in need - but for people who have been suffering for literally DAYS, just 24 hours makes a difference.
