Bahama Dorian Relief

Donation protected
As most of you know I have a boat in Jupiter Florida. We have made many trips to the Bahamas and in particular to the Abacos. My good friend and boat captain Steve Markley has been volunteering by loading small planes with relief supplies that these people so desperately need. He reports that there are hangers full of supplies slow to get out. The small planes only can carry about 1,000 pounds at a time and can only get to major ports of entry. Through friends we have made in the Bahamas, we know that the end distribution is chaotic and you’re not reaching the outer islands due to difficulties of all types.

Steve is in direct contact with a couple of families we know there. We plan to load our boat with the supplies and a couple of generators, refrigerators, and stoves to bring to them (we can handle about 3,000 pounds at a time). We can bring them in a remote area at the end of the Grand Bahama Island.

Anyone willing to help with the expense would be appreciated! I think each trip will involve at least $5,000 of expenses. The more we can raise the more people we can help
