Hello Kapamilya ("Family"),
We are bago, a Filipinx American luxury streetwear brand rooted in family, heritage, and community. We are committed to a journey of self-discovery by reconnecting with our heritage and homeland through fashion and design. By partnering directly with indigenous weaving communities and social enterprises in the Philippines, we proudly honor Filipino culture and weaving tradition.
Last Thursday, Typhoon Odette (Rai) badly hit our communities in the Philippines, including Anthill Fabric, our main textile weaving partner based in Cebu. The typhoon left the city with no power, no water supply in most areas, and no connectivity. Sadly, the homes of four team members from Anthill Fabric were destroyed.
bago is centered on community and cultural heritage, and during this time of unexpected crisis, we ask you to join us in supporting our kapamilya in the Philippines affected by Typhoon Odette, and help Anthill and their weave crafters rebuild their business and resume operations.
Additionally, a portion of donations will go to Waves For Water Philippines, a charity organization that is mobilizing efforts and deploying water filters to provide clean water both for drinking and domestic use as drinking water is scarce and many people remain displaced in evacuation centers.
Our GoFundMe campaign is set at a target of $1,500. bago has donated the first $250. Please help us reach our goal to support our artisans and their families.
Salamat!

Our partners at Anthill Fabric are keeping their spirits up despite limited food, water and resources. There is still no power in Cebu, Philippines (where their headquarters are located) and intermittent phone signal in majority of areas. Fortunately, Anthill has been able to account for everyone from their team.
