Bagheera’s Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hello and thank you so much for taking the time to read this. If you are family or friend, then you already know Bagheera and how much he means to our family. I never thought I’d ever have to be on here saying this, but Bagheera has been diagnosed with cancer. It started as tumors on his gum line. We took him to the vet and scheduled to have them removed and sent out for a biopsy immediately. The results came in this Monday…
It feels like we are living out a nightmare. I’m here to ask for any help we can possibly get for him. We’ve already spent $2,500 to figure out that this is cancer. The vets are doing more tests to see how far the cancer has gone, but they suspect this is lymphoma. It has been a week since the tumors were removed, and his recheck at the vet was today. She told us that the tumors have already grown back. The Oncologist is extremely booked, but she is trying very hard to get us in with him as soon as possible. She said this is very time sensitive and we need to act fast.
We are reluctant to ask for help, but we have come to the realization that we can’t do this alone. This is going to be a very difficult and expensive endeavor. I cannot imagine my world without this dog and we will stop at nothing to save him. He is the sweetest, most pure soul and he does not deserve this. This Husky is my best friend. I can’t lose him.
I could write a book about this boy. How silly he is, how he’s been there for me in my lowest moments. How gentle he’s been with his 20lb Sheltie brother, Mowgli. How he fell head over heels for his kitten sister, Esmeralda, when we rescued her last year. How he never mastered the art of the husky song, but more flicks his singing out of the side of his mouth with low ‘roos’. Though, he always tries to sing along when he hears other dogs sing on TV. How he likes to adjust our bed to his liking after I’ve made it by bunching up the blankets to the center of the bed and then jumping all over it. How he bounces through the snow and tries to get everyone else to join him. How he looks up to the sky every time he goes outside. I can seriously go on forever, I just don’t have the time. But I desperately need more time with my baby.
Any amount of money will go a long way. We’d appreciate it more than you’d know as we continue trying to save him. He has many more vet appointments and treatments to go through. We’re not going to give up and we ask for everyone to send their hope and positivity our way. Times are incredibly tough right now, so we understand if you can’t donate. Please share this so that it goes as far as possible. Again, thank you so much for taking your time to read this.
We’ll post updates as much as we can. I pray that we can save Bagheera.
