Bagheera The Ballet Dog Needs Your Help!

After finding a surprisingly large lump on Bagheera, we took him to the vet to have it looked at, and we got the news we didn’t want to hear. It’s a tumor, and its cancerous. We decided we wanted to know more about the results, and had them sent to a pathologist, and luckily got some better news. The tumor is malignant, but not fast acting, and after his blood work came back healthy, they think the best option for him would be surgery, because if left alone it risks incontinence. The tumor is under the left side of his tail, and growing faster than hoped. Because of its location, our vet does not feel comfortable with the doing surgery in fear of causing incontinence, and referred us to a Board Certified Surgeon. The estimated cost for his surgery is $3500 which is quite overwhelming, especially after losing a lot of work due to Covid-19 and my boy friend suffering from a traumatic injury in April. Bagheera is still in good spirits, and very healthy for his age. We were able to get him in to see Dr. Dresser at Bay Area Veterinary Surgery on October 25th and are hoping for the best.
