Badminton Team Alaska 2024 Arctic Winter Games

Greetings from Alaska. My name is Jerry and I'm fundraising for Badminton Team Alaska to participate in this year's Arctic Winter Games.

For those who are unfamiliar with this event, it is a biennial multi-sport and indigenous cultural event involving circumpolar peoples residing in communities or countries bordering the Arctic Ocean. This year, Alaska, USA, is the hosting nation and is expecting 2,000 athletes and 4,000 visitors from as far as Norway, Sweden and Finland.

This fundraiser is to raise funds for the badminton team with their $1,500/person admission fees. Our team has 6 athletes; of which, 3 participated in the last event in Alberta, Canada. I am the parent for one of the players and plans to distribute the funds equally amongst the 6 members to reduce their financial burden.

The event is from March 10-16 and the team has been working hard training and perfecting their strategies. I've seen great sportsmanship and comradery displayed by our young athletes. They are proud to represent their community/state/country in this international event.
