BADA's Midsummer at Oxford

For as long as I could remember, I always knew that I wanted to be an actress. As a child, I was enamored with the art of storytelling. I can remember writing and directing short stories and singing songs from musicals for hours on end. My heart yearned for nothing more. Now, I am a sophomore acting major at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, and I am finally getting the chance to pursue a lifelong dream.
I am honored to announce that I have been accepted into BADA's Midsummer at Oxford, a month long intensive hosted on Oxford university's campus. This program is run in association with the Yale school of Drama and is one of the most rigorous and prestigious classical training programs of this time. My gratitude and excitement for my acceptance into this intensive is nearly impossible for me to convey.
I grew up with a loving and supportive community who truly made me believe that I could do anything. I still believe this, but the obstacle of finances makes it harder to do so. It is no secret that the pandemic made life difficult for everyone, and as a college student, one can only imagine the weight of the financial burden of this program. With a tuition fee that amounts to $7,250, I am struggling to amass the necessary funds to achieve my dreams.
So, I am turning to you.
With your help, I could finally embark on what might catapult me into greatness. I recognize that raising this much money is no small feat, but I stand on the shoulders of all those who have guided me along the way, and am hoping that I can add more to that list as I fulfill this unending desire to do what I love.
I am doing this because I believe art heals. I am doing this because I believe and have personally experienced art giving people a voice. And I am doing this for the little girl whose hopes and dreams were bigger than her heart could possibly ever handle. I pray that you help this become a reality.
