Hi,
I'm Zoey... On Friday, December 30th Our Dear Friend Becca Roach arrived home to find the house that she rented burned to a crisp. She's grateful that all the animals, humans and most of the surfboards were out of the house at the time but everything else is destroyed.
There unfortunately is no insurance to cover this giant loss. Becca lost priceless art, books, all of her furniture, art supplies and belongings and more. If you have had the pleasure of ever visiting Becca's home, you know - it was filled with priceless items that bring joy. She is also a working artist, her livlihood is made off of many of the items contained in the house. She is now starting from scratch, trying to find an apartment to rent with the sweetest cat, Batman and the bestest of dogs, Cruze, which is no easy feat in Hawaii. She also needs to replace all of her clothing, furniture and art supplies, plus so much more...
If you have ever been lucky enough to have crossed paths with Becca, you know she is the sort of lady to give you the shirt off her back, and jump through hoops to make your life even a little bit nicer (literally if needed.) She has shared her home with countless folks needing a place to crash, lent her truck to many, and just shows up with her big ass smile to make your day. It has been a rough year for many, but if you are friends with Becca, you know that it was a particularly rough one for her, and this was the icing on the cake, or more so a Molotov cocktail on it... No the fire wasn't caused by a Molotov cocktail, but by the devastation of it, it might as well have been.
So, I am asking all of you to help our girl out, give what you can to help her rebuild her beautiful home in a new location, or at least buy some underwear. If you can't give right now that's ok, she would also appreciate leads on apartments to rent in Honolulu that are dog/cat friendly.
