Hi, I’m Beck — and I’ve always believed that books have a way of finding us exactly when we need them (even when we probably should’ve gone to bed instead).

Some of my biggest, most formative moments didn’t happen in real life, they happened between the pages of a book. Stories helped me feel less alone, sparked new ideas, and offered comfort during messy, confusing, beautifully human moments. That lifelong love of reading is what led to Bad Decisions Bookstore — an online bookshop for people who fall a little too hard for stories and never regret it.

I’m taking my first steps toward building an independent online bookshop that celebrates affordable reads, diverse voices, community recommendations, and indie authors who deserve more hype. This isn’t just about selling books it’s about creating a space where readers feel seen, understood, and excited to make their next bad decision.

To make this dream real, I’m raising funds to cover the basics:
