Bad Candy Short Film

Hello, my name is Robert Henry. I am the creator of Bad Candy, an indy horror comic by Joe Evans and myself. The comic was created as a love letter to 80's horror cinema. The mythos revolves around a spirit that requires an offering every day in the month of October. Give that offering and you will find yourself blessed. However, fail and Bad Candy will come to life to take sacrifices for the offering that was not given.

Over the years people have often commented that Bad Candy would make such a good movie. Well, here is our first stab at making that a reality. Given that this is a first for many of us associated with this film, I felt it was best to start small and craft a short film that horror fans would enjoy.

Over the years I have been creating art, comics, and photography I've been blessed to connect and develop friendships with a variety of talented individuals. Many of those individuals are present in this endeavor and it has been wonderful to work with them. I am grateful and humbled for their participation and hard work.

We shot for a day and a half back in December to get the footage that is on display in the trailer. We likely have a day and a half left of shooting to wrap up the film. We are asking for funds to help bring home this film. Thus far the film has been shot on a threadbare budget. Additional funds would allow us to create bigger and better special effects for the death sequences. We would also be able to ensure that we maintain quality in our production. Not to mention, of course, the ability to bring Bad Candy to life in a memorable way. And finally, we would have the abilty to promote and make sure the film gets out there and is seen.

I believe that we are creating a film that is fun and will be enjoyed by horror fans. I also believe that it is the start of what may turn into more projects down the road.
