LINDSAY SMITH. Lindsay had only just turned 15 when she was diagnosed in November 2018 with an aggressive form of bone and tissue cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. She had a small lump appear in the tissue in her hand which doctors advised was just a cyst and they could get it removed when they were ready. When Lindsay had the surgery to remove this lump, tests revealed the devastating news that it was not a cyst, it was a malignant tumour.
Since her diagnosis, Lindsay and her mum Tenille have had to stay in Brisbane while she undergoes intensive chemotherapy treatment. It’s been hard being away from their home and her dad Pete and older sister Jorja who have had to stay back here for work and school. Lindsay should be completing grade 10 at Toolooa State High this year. Sadly that is not the case, Lindsay has been doing her schooling through the Brisbane Children’s Hospital while she undergoes treatment. She will continue with her chemotherapy until September at this stage and then she should finally be able to come home, hopefully in time for her 16th birthday which is in October.
Mack Daly 4yrs wanted hair like Gary Anderson and now that he's got it they have both decided to shave the party at the back to raise money for a local Gladstone girl.
All funds raised from Gary & Mack shaving their Mullets will go directly to Lindsay and her family. Help us, help Lindsay and her family by donating.
The shave will be after the Daly's Gym Motorcycle Ride on 21st September 2019. ALL Welcome to 24 Moura Cres - Daly's Gym to witness Gary & Mack ditching their Mullets.
