Bacton Under 5’s are taking on an exciting fundraising challenge! From May to July, our children, staff, and families will be completing an accumulated walking challenge as we journey the 30 miles from Bacton to Felixstowe—one small step at a time.

Starting from 1st May, our little walkers will begin chipping away at each mile, walking within the setting and enjoying regular walks around the school meadow. This will build up gradually over the weeks, with every step counting towards our shared total. Our littlest children are not forgotten—crawling also counts towards our miles, so everyone can take part in their own way.

The final miles will be completed together during our Sports Day in July, giving everyone a chance to come together, celebrate our achievement, and cheer on our amazing children as they reach their goal.

The total distance walked will be updated weekly in the foyer, so families can follow our progress as we move closer to Felixstowe. We will also share regular updates, photos, and milestones on Facebook and [email redacted]es, so everyone can join in the journey.

Every step will help raise vital funds for our nursery, supporting new outdoor play equipment, learning resources, and enriching experiences for our children.

This is a wonderful way to encourage healthy activity, teamwork, and community spirit in our youngest learners. All donations, no matter how small, will make a real difference and be greatly appreciated.
