Backpack of Hope – A Small Gift, A Big Future

In the quiet villages of Nepal, many children walk long distances to school wearing worn-out clothes, carrying no supplies—just hope. Some sit in classrooms without a pencil. Others stay home because their families can’t afford the basics.

Coming from Nepal, I know the value of education. I was fortunate—my parents supported me, even when it meant great sacrifice. But many families can’t do that. They simply don’t have the means in their situation.

That’s why this matters to me even more.

Are these children supposed to just stay where they are—stuck, unable to change their future—just because of the family or situation they were born into?

Don’t they deserve the opportunity—the right—to learn, to grow, and to build a better life?

A chance not just to change their life, but their families situation

Or are they supposed to keep suffering and struggling—generation after generation?

Bodhi Light Nepal is launching Backpack of Hope to change that.

With your help, Our goal is to raise $1,197 to buy:

School backpacks

Notebooks, pencils, rulers, erasers✏️

Basic school clothing

Then, we will travel to rural communities in Nepal and personally distribute these supplies to the children who need them most.

Sometimes we think small help doesn’t matter—but to an underserved family or a child who has nothing, even a small amount can mean happiness. A new school book, a pen, or even just a pencil means a lot to them.

That’s why I started this project.

If my small effort can ease a family’s burden, even just a little—or bring a moment of happiness or opportunity to a child then what does it really cost me ?
