A few years ago, I stepped into the world of Ayurvedic medicine with one goal in mind: to become a physician who treats not just illness, but the whole person mind, body, and spirit. That path has taken me through countless lectures, sleepless exam nights, and long study sessions steeped in both ancient wisdom and modern science.
Now, I’m stepping into a new, transformative chapter: clinical rotations. This is where theory meets real-life practice, where I’ll begin to shift from student to healer.
One of my upcoming rotations is in Iowa, a two-week placement that offers the kind of hands-on experience you can’t learn from textbooks. I’ll be learning directly from seasoned practitioners, supporting patients, and observing how healing unfolds in real time. These moments, connecting with patients, making decisions under guidance, seeing medicine in motion are what I’ve been working toward since day one.
But this chapter isn’t just about medicine. It’s also about movement, literally. Living in New York, taking on an out-of-state rotation means travel, housing, food, logistical pieces that don’t always fit neatly into a student budget. Still, I see this as part of the training too: learning to adapt, to show up fully, even when the road gets a little more complex.
Throughout this journey, I’ve been fortunate to have a community around me, friends, mentors, and fellow believers in this calling. That’s why I’ve decided to share these experiences more openly. Not just the polished moments, but the real ones. The learning curves. The small wins. The deep lessons.
If you’d like to follow along, I’ll be sharing regular updates from the rotation, stories from the clinic, reflections on Ayurvedic practice, and snapshots of what it’s like to train in this beautiful, demanding field. It’s a way of staying connected, honoring the process, and bringing others into the heart of this journey.
Because becoming a healer isn’t a solo path, it’s built on every hand that holds you up along the way.
I’m raising $3,000 to help cover travel, lodging, food, and essentials during this short but intensive training period. In return, I’m offering sincere thanks, personal updates from my rotation, and small tokens of appreciation for those who contribute.
Your support helps me focus on learning and caring for patients, not stressing about basic expenses.
