Hi everyone,
My name is David Campbell, and I’m fundraising to help my 10-year-old son William pursue an incredible opportunity to represent TNL International in Barcelona, Spain, this November 2025.
William has been invited to travel with a select group of talented young footballers to train with the FC Barcelona Academy and compete in the Surf Cup International Tournament in Salou, Spain. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that could open doors to professional pathways — and it’s something William has worked tirelessly towards for years.
From a young age, William has shown exceptional commitment and passion for the game:
- Five-time Australian All-Star selection at the Australian Futsal Championships (representing Northern NSW).
- Selected three times to represent Australia in international futsal tournaments (Philippines).
- JDL player since age 8, progressing from Maitland FC to Lambton Jaffas JDL U11s – the highest level of junior football available in Newcastle.
- Currently training and trialling with the Central Coast Mariners Academy for potential selection in 2026.
- Invited to and participated in the West Ham United National Academy Camp on the Gold Coast in 2023 after excelling at regional trials.
William’s dream is to take his football as far as possible — and this trip represents the next step in that journey.
However, opportunities like this come with significant costs.
We’ll be running a Cadbury chocolate fundraiser through William’s school, but we know not everyone can (or wants to!) sell chocolates — so we’ve also created this GoFundMe for those who’d like to help in another way.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward William’s trip costs — helping cover flights, accommodation, and training fees.
This trip means the world to him and to our family, and we’d be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer — whether it’s a donation, a share of this page, or a few kind words of encouragement for Will as he prepares for the biggest opportunity of his young life.
