My name is Denise I live out of state. My 27 year old son Brandon Lonergan lives alone in Erie Pa. and is in dire need of financial help.
Right now he is recovering from multiple surgeries due to a broken neck. He was diagnosed at a young age with congenial scoliosis and thoracic syrinx ( fluid filled cyst in the spinal cord ). With this said he is not a candidate for spinal injections for pain relief. Pain meds do not agree with Brandon.
He had his first surgery when he was 8 on his lower spine at W.R.A.M.C. Brandon was a caring outgoing active person. At the age of 25 he suffered a broken neck caused from his scoliosis. Which led to emergency surgery in Pitts. That saved his life and kept him from being paralyzed . Then 18 months later stabilization surgery was preformed fusing C-1 to T-1 .
Brandon having limitations living every day life. Never got a driver license due to not having good range of motion. He deals with chronic pain daily . Brandon lives a simple life style just trying to get by. Doesn't participate in outings with his friends. Even a simple car ride causes discomfort and pain.
Just when he thought he was on the road to recovery. Starting more complex exercises he felt a pop in his neck. Now he is experiencing different types of pain and symptoms. In the last week he attempted to see his family Dr. He sent him to a facility to be evaluated . Brandon is in the circle of pain , depression, and anxiety. They gave him a x-ray . Still experiencing severe pain. He went and had a cat scan. He is waiting for his surgeon to review. Hoping to not need more surgery.
Although he applied for disability the long process is ongoing. Brandon has not been employed since his initial injury. With Brandon's limitations and pain his possibilities are slim of finding employment. At this point he has depleted any and all means of money.
So I am kindly asking for any help you can provide. Your donations will go towards his rent, transportation, everyday needs and cell phone minutes for communication. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. May god bless you.
