Hi everyone, Tobias here... this is a bit outside my comfort zone, but I wanted to share where I’m at in my journey.
For the past few years, I’ve been working toward becoming a doctor. I graduated with a double major in Human Biology and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry, scored a 514 on the MCAT, and have spent the last two years applying to medical school while working as a radiologic technologist. It’s been a humbling process; as of now, I've been "wait listed" to an MD program, but I've yet to be accepted into a med school program. I’ve learned that I need to strengthen my research experience and am eager to tackle a Master’s to bolster this weakness.
I recently applied and was accepted into an accelerated Master of Science in Clinical Research program at UCSD, which I’m hopeful will better prepare me for medical school. It’s a big step forward, and I’m very excited, but also it is a financial stretch.
The program costs about $34,000, and I’m trying to raise $5,000–$10,000 to help make this possible. If you feel led to support or even just share this, I would be incredibly grateful. I don’t take any of it lightly.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
