Beyond Reason: Bringing Heart to the Head of the Table

​“I applied for a seat I wasn’t ‘supposed’ to want.”

​Last week, I encountered a summit called Beyond Reason. It is a gathering of the architects of our future—heart centered CEOs, founders, visionaries and global funders. On paper, as a solo somatic practitioner, I didn’t fit the "standard" profile.

​Between the logistical hurdles and the lack of a corporate title these days, logic told me it didn't completely make sense. But my soul felt a different pull. The mission of this summit is about leading from deep wisdom and human connection—the very things I have spent my life cultivating. I applied anyway. And against the odds, they invited me to the table.

​For the last five years, I have worked in the trenches of the human psyche, dismantling the shame that keeps people small. Beneath that shame, I always find the same thing: a dormant brilliance, a unique gift waiting to be known.

​Our world is thirsty for these gifts. We have been witnessing for some time now a homogenization of our schools, our businesses, and our spirits. But nature teaches us that ecosystems only thrive through diversity; in ecology, a monoculture is a biological dead end. To heal our systems of health, education, and business, we don’t need more of the same—we need the authentic, unshamed truth of the individual.

​From managing projects at a Harvard-teaching hospital to directing humanitarian missions in Haiti, to my private somatic practice here in Mexico, I am excited to bring my voice to this gathering around shaping the next era of capital and culture.
