Hey yall, for those who may not know me well anymore, my name is Candy(Corealle Rollins), I’m the daughter of Brenda and Corea Rollins, Granddaughter of Phyllis, Larry Deloach and Pete, Katrina Rollins, I’m 24 and I care deeply about building a future that has purpose. My vision is rooted in the idea of a village, something I’ve craved since I was young; a foundation where people, no matter where they start, can access real opportunities, strong mentorship, and education that actually changes lives. I became fully independent right after turning 18, and for several years, I was figuring life out completely on my own by couch surfing, experiencing homelessness, and navigating serious setbacks, including getting COVID, loosing my job as a result, and cutting contact with a lot of family. There were moments I felt truly alone, abandoned, and I carried that resentment longer than I should have, but I didn’t stop moving forward. I secured my own apartment, bought my own car, and built consistency and stability with no safety net. Right now, I’m enrolled in the WIOA Program, and after months of studying and preparation, I've been approved to attend a 7 week multi-certification medical tech program in Huntsville AL. Although the school is covered there are a lot more expenses that come with the profound opportunity. Housing, Transportation, and Food just to name a few. All I'm asking is for yall to not see me as a charity case; I’ve built stability, independence, and consistency on my own, and I’m really proud of that. This request isn't about asking for help because I'm struggling, it's about asking for support because I'm growing. Thank you for listening and considering lending a hand in my endeavors.
