Hello all,

If you know me, you're aware that I'm not big on asking family or friends for money. You may also know that I've recently accepted a job change to work in Salinas because that's what works best for my little family and me. I will be working in the public school district and this requires me to obtain a credential (yes, even with my MA).

I am currently enrolled in a credential program for 16 most with Alliant university and the entire cost of the program is $24K. Thankfully, California offers grants to teachers who teach at "priority" schools (which I will be) but those funds do not get disbursed until October. I am currently needing to make my first payment of $5K for my summer term which starts on June 21st. I understand that times are tough for everyone in this economy but if you're in a good spot and can contribute, I would be forever grateful.
