Dearest friends and family,
as many of you know, after more than ten years of a beautiful collaboration with a publisher in Milan, I now find myself temporarily between jobs. The ever more widespread use of AI in translation and outsourcing are transforming the publishing sector. So, I now have the incredible chance to reinvent myself, to bring something new into my life. Many of you know that I’ve been cultivating meditation, nature connection and interspecies communication for a while now, a beautiful personal journey that began in 2018 when I went to South Africa and met the white lions of Timbavati. And now I’ve received an invitation to go back! That this opportunity presented itself now doesn’t look like a coincidence. It is time for me to strengthen those practices, to keep learning and deepen my knowledge, to make them more than a personal interest, in order to share them, even professionally.
And so I’m going back to South Africa to learn from Eleni Gkikakis and Kate Muller, certain that everything I will learn from and with them will show me the best way to go forward.
And so I am here to ask for the loving support of family and friends to help me get there, to help overcome the momentary financial challenge I’m facing, to raise money to pay for the budget needed for this journey.

Come molti di voi sanno, la mia preziosa collaborazione instaurata con una nota casa editrice milanese si è conclusa dopo dieci lunghi anni. L’uso sempre più diffuso dell’IA e l’esternalizzazione dei servizi sta notevolmente trasformando il settore dell’editoria. E così mi ritrovo ad avere la possibilità straordinaria di reinventarmi, di portare qualcosa di nuovo nella mia vita. Molti di voi sanno che da tempo mi dedico alla meditazione e alla comunicazione animale, un percorso personale iniziato nel 2018, quando sono andata in Sudafrica e ho incontrato i leoni bianchi del Timbavati. E ora ho ricevuto l’invito a tornare da loro! Che quest’opportunità si sia presentata proprio ora non mi pare una coincidenza. È venuto il momento che approfondisca certe pratiche, che continui a imparare e ad allargare le mie conoscenze, così da renderle qualcosa di più di un semplice interesse personale e poterle poi condividere, magari anche professionalmente.
E così tornerò in Sudafrica per studiare con Eleni Gkikakis e Kate Muller, certa che quello che imparerò con loro mi mostrerà la maniera migliore di proseguire in questo percorso.
Sono qui perciò a chiedere il sostegno prezioso di parenti e di amici, a chiedervi di aiutarmi a superare le momentanee difficoltà economiche che mi trovo ad affrontare, così da raccogliere il budget necessario per questo viaggio.

Osservare la crescita personale di Laura e la sua volontà di cambiare nel corso degli ultimi otto anni è stato davvero bello. Ha dimostrato costanza nell’applicare tutto ciò che impara dai suoi studi spirituali nella vita di ogni giorno e a servizio degli altri. Mi emoziona vederla intraprendere questo nuovo capitolo, prendere i cambiamenti che l’IA sta portando nel suo lavoro come opportunità di crescita, piuttosto che ne restarne intrappolata. Ci vuole coraggio ad affrontare il nuovo e osare vivere la vita dei propri sogni, affidandosi a un proprio sentire profondo, nonostante quello che pensano gli altri. So che questo viaggio aiuterà Laura a scoprire quella parte di sé necessaria per reinventarsi e vivere appieno la sua vita. E sono sicura che quest’avventura le permetterà di restituire agli altri dieci volte tanto.
