Back the Indy Ceili Band's Journey to Ireland!

The Indianapolis Ceili Band has been serving the Indianapolis community since its establishment in 2009. Committed to preserving and promoting traditional Irish music through performance, education, and collaboration with many local Celtic entities, the band is looking forward to representing Indianapolis in Wexford, Ireland in August 2025, as we did in Ennis, Ireland in 2016.

On Saturday, April 26th, 2025, the band competed at the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil or Midwest Music Festival, in Chicago, IL and qualified to compete in the international competition Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Wexford, Ireland. The band has qualified for this prestigious competition 6 times since 2015. We traveled to Ireland as a band in 2016 and plan to represent Indiana again this year.

The band, which is comprised of 10 members, will be traveling to Ireland the week of August 4th, to compete at the week-long festival, which draws crowds estimated at up to 650,000 people! The Senior Ceili Band competition is the last event of the festival and considered the "must see" event for all attendees. As you can imagine, it will take a considerable effort, both logistically and financially, to transport and lodge a group of that size.
