TJ started this road with a cold and strep throat. Went to urgent care and they gave him meds. The next day he was worse with fever and chest pains started and became so painful he went to the ER. They started checking with heart Cath etc. Put him in a room. He was alone and in horrible pain and had a heart attack. Aspirated his vomit and sometime later a nurse found him blue and unresponsive. They resuscitated and placed him in ICU. He continued on a downward spiral and that's when flight for life flew him to UNM where he will remain for quite some time. Yesterday while trying to lower his oxygen assist on ventilator his vitals went way down and doctors are guessing asthmatic attack closed airway. They got him stable again and will continue to lessen dependence on ventilator at a slower pace. His primary issue at this point is ARDS. I hope that helps. Much more to story but that's the overall. Before they medically paralyzed him he was able to write "I love you all" he meant everyone. That's TJ a real sweetheart that loves his friends and family which includes his blue family.
