Back the Blue, Fight the Blue — Team Jasen

I have had the privilege of knowing Jasen since 2022, when he joined our Sheriff’s Office as a deputy. Over the years, Jasen has become so much more than a coworker. He has become a part of our law enforcement family and, more importantly, a part of our personal family.

Jasen has spent his life serving others. Before his career in law enforcement, he proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. He then continued that life of service by putting on a badge and dedicating himself to protecting and serving his community.

But beyond the uniform and the badge, Jasen is a husband and a father to four children. His family is at the center of his world, and they are now facing this fight alongside him. As anyone with a family knows, life doesn't stop when the unimaginable happens. There are still bills to pay, children to care for, meals to put on the table, and everyday responsibilities to manage, all while navigating a diagnosis that has turned their world upside down.

Jasen was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, and he and his family are now beginning a journey none of them ever expected to face. Between treatments, appointments, travel, time away from work, and the many unexpected expenses that come with fighting cancer, the financial burden can quickly become overwhelming.

That's why we're asking our community to rally around someone who has spent so much of his life showing up for others. Our goal is to give Jasen and his wife one less thing to worry about so they can focus their energy where it matters most, on his treatment, their children, and being together as a family.

Donations will help with medical expenses, travel for treatment, lost income from time away from work, everyday household expenses, and other needs that arise throughout his treatment.
