Back Surgery For Disabled Veteran
Donation protected
This is my friend George. He is a good man and disabled Iraq veteran. Watch his story of being hurt while in the Army here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs7dFDZWWHw
George is 100% disabled and incapable of working. There's a laser back surgery that has a STRONG chance of helping George get off pain medication and raise his daughters with more activity and less sitting in his chair.
But of course, the VA won't cover it. Literally all they will do for him for the rest of his life is give him pain meds.
Oh, and give him depression meds for the mental load of living in pain every day.
However, there IS hope. There is a laser spine surgery that has a strong chance of giving him permanent relief from his debilitating back pain. https://www.laserspineinstitute.com/scottsdale/ is the place, and it's very promising.
I want to help George because the VA won't cover a bit of it. His wife's insurance will cover some of it, but they're left with just a hair under $10,000 to cover. As a disabled vet that number is out of reach, so any help we can give them goes a long way!
He's having the surgery this month, so sooner is better!
