Hi, I’m Eugene Salleh — a writer, director, actor, and founder of Urban Myth Productions, a new independent studio blending live-action and AI-assisted animation to tell bold, poetic stories.

Over the last year, I’ve created two original animated shorts:

…both based on poems by my long-time creative collaborator Trevor Smith.

We’ve worked together on three projects so far, including our latest in production:

️ A Roadman – A poetic, hard-hitting short set in urban Liverpool

Now, we’re building out a full slate of new works, including:

I Love You At The End Of The World – Set during the outbreak of a nuclear apocalypse, this short captures a raw, emotional final phone call between two lovers — full of regret, forgiveness, and an honest confession of love.

Violet’s Dance Lesson – A haunting, surreal water colour animated short about memory, loss, and longing.

Ashes of the Dead – An anime-style horror-action series set during the Great Fire of London

Ulysses – A reimagined anime-style Odyssey, blending Greek myth with cinematic, modern visual storytelling.

We’ve created this work with no studio backing, using every tool we can find — including PixVerse, Filmora, and ElevenLabs — and a whole lot of late nights.

Now, we’re asking for your help to level up our work.

I’m raising £5,000–£7,000 to fund a small but powerful production kit, animation pipeline, and voice/audio studio setup — to create high-quality films without gatekeepers.
