Back Our Champs: DISA U13 Girls Soccer

The DISA U13 Girls soccer team has captured the South Carolina Presidents Cup state title and will now represent the state at the Southern Regionals in June.

Their journey began last August with a clear goal: win the state championship and advance to Regionals. That vision became reality after a thrilling semifinal victory in double overtime, finishing 4-2, and a dramatic championship match that was decided by penalty kicks.

After trailing in the second half of the Final, the team rallied to tie the game and force overtime. With the score still even after extra time, the match went to a shootout—a scenario the girls had only faced (and lost) twice before. Determined not to repeat history, they spent weeks leading up to the tournament preparing for that very moment. Their dedication paid off with a shootout victory and a state championship.

This tight-knit group has shown remarkable focus, effort, and teamwork all season. Their commitment to each other and the game has earned them a place on the regional stage.
