Back on my leg
Donation protected
Hello my dear friends,
Many of you already know what happened to me — I’ve spoken to some of you in person. But for those who don’t:
On March 6th this year, I had an accident during a tree work training session in the south of France. I fell from a height of 7 meters and severely broke my leg in multiple places. Because it was an open fracture, I had to undergo emergency surgery right away. A week later, I needed another surgery, and I ended up spending two weeks in the hospital. Later, I also found out that a part of my spine was fractured.
Since then, I’ve been doing my best to support my body in healing. But I’m still not able to walk properly, and the whole recovery process is taking much longer than expected. Fortunately, my insurance covers the medical treatments I need — but that’s all.
And here comes the hard part for me to say — but also the reason I’m writing this. Several wonderful friends encouraged me to start a crowdfunding campaign. Many people have offered help in different ways, and I’m truly grateful for that.
What I need most right now is time — time to heal and to face whatever challenges may still lie ahead. I don’t have a specific donation goal. I’m simply thankful for any support I can get, and I know that every single contribution will help me make it through this summer.
I’m already so incredibly thankful for all the support I’ve received from you.
If you can’t or don’t want to support financially, simply sharing my story would already mean a lot to me.
Sending love to all of you <3
