Hey everyone! My name is Nick Slaughter, and I was recently admitted to the University of Notre Dame! My journey up to this accomplishment has not been an easy one. I attended an IB school and maintained a 4.0+ GPA, worked, volunteered, all while handling all of the extreme responsibilities that came from home.

Because of various difficult circumstances that hindered my educational progress, I was forced to become emancipated. I have been independently living for more than a year at this point, and I have no financial support outside of myself. Despite being at risk for homelessness, and all of the other challenges I faced, I was fortunate enough to attain a full-ride scholarship to Notre Dame.

There are many miscellaneous but expensive costs, such as dorm furnishings, student health coverage, a computer, and many more that won't be covered by my scholarship. With everything taken into account the total amounts to around 4000-5000$. With that being said, I know that achieving this goal is a challenge, but I am hopeful that I will succeed. This fund allows for me to comfortably step into this next stage in life and secure my future. Any support is truly appreciated.
