Back Littleleaf's Recovery Post-Fire Efforts

Hello many of you know Elke & I Alysia as Littleleaf Guide services. A tribal fly-fishing outfit who guides the Deschutes River.

Also, many of you know us for our advocacy efforts since we started our career. That includes conservation project of planting trees & plants in area that suffered from a farmer tractor spark which created a massive fire that burned 67,000 acres of the Warm Springs reservation.

This fire initiated a restoration project back in 2019. Our outfit Littleleaf guide services teamed up with a non-profit to get the job done.As the fire took out much needed habitat. Pandemic hit so had to hurry & wait to plant. The project took place 2023

Fast forwarding to 2024 our outfit got suspended for planting trees & plants. Found out that there was number of departments to go through to do this kind of project.

Our outfit got cited with prohibited conduct a civil charge not criminal charge. April 2025 got the charge DISMISSED!

Not only were we cited we got suspended for this project.

Just trying to leave something for our future generations to come.

Fast forward through a long drug out trial, the charge was dismissed.

The damage done to our business & our lively hood is taking a toll on our health, mental well-being especially financially.

Got rent bills & truck needs work I never thought we would be in this kind of situation. Here we are in our prime time to work, and we cannot due to suspension.

So, there it all is I'm not ashamed for doing what's right. For doing a job others are paid to do. Just do know we feel bad for asking for help.
