Help Us Offer Shelter and Care to Cats in Need

Help us Offer Shelter, Care and a Chance at a New Life for Cats in Need

We are a charity based in Navan Ireland, home to over 400 animals. At the sanctuary, we create a safe and loving environment for both farmed and domestic animals. We would like to ask for your support to start running a successful Rescue/Rehabilitate/Rehome program for cats in need!

Since the sanctuary has been created, we take as many residents as our budget and structures allow, but since recently we are experiencing an ever-increasing number of requests to help cats that were either abandoned, neglected or born on the street, and we find ourselves unable to help in the majority of cases.

In 2023 alone our sanctuary received over 100 requests for assistance with felines, which we regrettably could not fulfil due to limited capacity and financial resources. Unfortunately other local animal rescues face the exact same problem and are also unable to take as many cats in need as they would want.

To solve this issue, we are currently building a dedicated cattery space to welcome more cats that will be socialised, rehabilitated and adopted into suitable homes.

We have never done this before and are very excited to be able to help our community and many more animals! We are estimating that we could foster and rehome about 32 cats each year thanks to our new dedicated facility and a bigger team coming onboard to support the initiative.

While the construction and equipping of the cattery constitute a very substantial cost, ongoing operational expenses for food, veterinary care, utilities and staffing will represent an even higher financial load for our charity that at the moment we cannot afford.

If we host and rehabilitate an average of 32 cats per year, as planned, we will be spending:

* An additional €2 000 on food, litter and electricity each year

* An average of €5 200 on additional veterinary care (neutering, injuries and illness treatment, parasite prevention etc.)

Of course, we also have to prepare for any unplanned health-related or numbers-related costs to make sure all receive a high standard of care.

Compared to other animal rescues we would still be running on a relatively low annual budget, but the additional €7,200 per year will really make a huge difference in the lives of so many animals, so we really hope you can support our project and help us cover the cost of at least the first year of our Rescue/Rehabilitate/Rehome program for the lovely feline friends.

Any amount, large or small, would be appreciated and received with a lot of gratitude!

Also, please share this fundraiser with your friends, family and communities.

We will keep you updated here on the project, as it progresses xx
