Hello there! I'm Hadley- a filmmaker, writer, and actor — and I’m here to ask for your support for a short film I’ve written and will be starring in. This is my second short, and I’m incredibly proud to be collaborating with a powerhouse team of women to bring it to life. I’m a Chelsea Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival alum, and I know firsthand the power short films can have in starting conversations.
The film follows a young singer who agrees to do a photo shoot in hopes of advancing her career. What begins as a bid for empowerment quickly reveals itself to be something else — a subtle but devastating unraveling of her agency. She’s no longer seen as an artist, but as a product. It’s a story about image, ownership, and the blurry line between expression and exploitation — especially for women in entertainment. It asks: When are we being seen, and when are we being sold?
I’m honored to be working with Hazel McKibbin, our director — a Sundance, SXSW, and TIFF alum and an all female production team. Their vision is bold, nuanced, and fiercely cinematic.
If you believe in supporting women in film, stories that challenge the industry’s status quo, or simply great cinema — please consider donating. We’ve got big goals, but with your help, we can get there. Thank you for believing in us — and in the power of stories to shift culture.
