Back Black Voices: Support Curation Scholarship
Hello community!
I’ve been given the opportunity to further my learning and education in preserving and collecting Black diaspora stories through my partly paid scholarship on the BCA curators programme.
This is to be paid by the deadline of August 19th 2023.
It will provide me with the necessary knowledge and skills to play a part in protecting, documenting, and promoting African/ Caribbean heritage.
It would allow me to provide my community with:
- Valuable Social Commentary: addressing social issues and injustices. Prompting critical conversations and encouraging societal reflection and change.
- Representation and Visibility: ensuring that the contributions, experiences, and voices of black artists, thinkers, and communities are seen, heard, and valued in cultural institutions and public spaces.
- An Educational Impact: My Black curation will educate the public about the diverse cultural, social, and historical aspects of black identity, allowing for greater awareness.
- Cultural and Historical Preservation: I would help to preserve and showcase the rich history, heritage, and achievements of black individuals and communities.
Please consider making any contribution that you can today and sharing this campaign within your networks. In giving what you can to support my continued development you are investing in amplifying marginalised stories and developing a more progressive society.
With love and gratitude,
Kia.K.
