I am a young female filmmaker looking to produce my first TV Pilot. I am intrigued by the overlap of humor and religion (and its respectful satire). I am excited for the opportunity to produce a work with a nearly all-female cast as a young female filmmaker myself!

"Bad Habits" is a dark, deadpan comedy that dives into the secret lives of cloistered nuns craving more alongside prayer and penance. Behind convent walls, these women confront aging, spiritual doubt, and the lure of the secular world- with biting humor and quiet rebellion. Blending religious satire with emotional depth, the show explores what it really means to commit to a life of faith, and whether joy and absurdity have a place in sacred spaces (spoiler: they do!).

I wrote this project as a young female filmmaker in college, reflecting on the unique and intellectually-stirring conversations I've engaged in with nuns. They truly are driven, hilarious people with amazing outlooks on life. I have wondered; however, about the relation between religious devotion and the messy, deeply human confusion for life that exists within us all! Through satire and comedy, I intend to make these topics and inquiries more accessible and inviting.

With a nearly all-female cast, I wish to learn and grow alongside my vision and create jobs for women like me in the industry.
