My name is Makiah Lyons. I graduated from Howard University with honors in Spring of 2019. My family and I are proud to announce that I will be returning to my beloved Howard (aka The Mecca) to receive my Juris Doctor. My goal is to be an education attorney, shaping policy and advocating for educational equality across race, ethnicity, gender, and ability.
I made this GoFundMe to help offset some of the cost associated with relocating to Washington, D.C. towards the end of July and beginning law school in August. I will use any funds I receive on travel and moving costs and, if possible, a new laptop.
