Bach St Matthew Passion

2027 marks the 300th anniversary of the first performance of J. S. Bach's St Matthew Passion. Levens Choir will be giving two performances of the Passion in March 2027 to celebrate this extraordinary piece of music.

We will be performing with internationally renowned vocal soloists and early music specialists playing on baroque instruments, as well as a local youth choir. It will be a unique opportunity to hear this piece as it was originally written.
