Baby Reddy Mayo Clinic Costs & Service Dog

Hi, my name is Grandma Lu, and I am fundraising for Reddick DeVleming, son of Zach and Ligeia DeVleming and brother to Cooper! 

He is 5 1/2 months old and has had a challenging journey, and so have his parents, Zach and Ligeia! Red has had trouble feeding since almost the beginning, leading to him being on a feeding tube fed to his intestines, bypassing his stomach. Unfortunately, this has had to be replaced three times already! A very traumatic experience for the baby and mom and dad. 

What we know for sure is: baby has Gastroparesis (partially paralyzed stomach), severe GERD, (acid reflux) and when he eats, he chokes and aspirates (gets in his lungs). The family has been to Seattle Children's Hospital once and returns on Dec. 15th for extensive testing, scopes, and potential surgery. They hope to find something "mechanical" that can be surgically corrected. If not, the talk is to change his feeding tube to an abdominal one until he can grow out of this. We do not know how many trips to Seattle this is going to take. 

Due to gastric issues, he also has Sandifer Syndrome, which causes uncontrollable muscle spasms, extreme arching, and body movements to ease the pain and discomfort. Reddick requires in home feeding therapists, dieticians, and physical therapists. 

This little one is constantly in a state of unhappiness and needs constant attention, and 24/7 care, which has necessitated mom to limit her work to evening hours, and dad to take on as much overtime as possible. We are trying to get help with the medical bills, travel costs, costly specialty formula, day-to-day bills, etc. 

I know this is a tough time of year for everyone, so any little bit is greatly appreciated.
