Baby Marc battle against Leukemia

Marc was only 2 years old when He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (LLA) it all started with a simple ache in his leg that prevented him from walking then his little arm follow the pain was so unbearable and debilitating little Marc was unable to walk let alone play. Marc was taken to several doctors and no one could identify his health problem instead he was prescribed very strong pain medicine that affected his ability to eat and made him very very sick. Finally after many trips to the doctor and many different tests doctor's came back with the terrible results and the news were trully devastating and heart breaking for his parents David and Bessy and big brother Ikker (4 year's old).
From that moment on their lives were completely changed as the doctor told them that baby Marc could no longer leave the hospital and should begin his treatment immediately and the first stage involved at least 4 to 5 weeks of hospitalization.
The first days in the hospital were extremely hard
(David his father says) doctors warned us that each child reacts differently to chemotherapy, and that we should not compared Marc to other children going through the same treatment...,we live in constant fear of losing our baby as we learned that several little angels did not resist the treatment and left us.
Marc is a hero..... every boy and girl who fights against this disease are definitely super-heroes!
This little angels learn to deal with so many things...
from taking medications that affects them not only phisically but emotionally,..to routinely enter an operating room,...to be channeled,...to make the hospital their second home,... to wear a mask and often to be seen as weird by ignorant people who do not know what is going on.... to lose their hair, eyelashes and even your eyebrows.
Leukemia is a terrible disease but if we have faith, we follow the instructions, we unite in prayer, in care and dedication; not only learn to fight against cancer, we learn to be more human, to thank and appreciate.
we still have 13 more months of struggle, we are almost reaching the middle of the road. We have not lowered our guard, we have lost many things in the process, between them our house but not our home and for that reason we are still fighting.
David & Bessy are currently residing in Managua Nicaragua living on one income only, making enough money to survive and are in urgent need of our help to pay for Marc's chemotheraphy treatments and care.
David resided in Las Vegas for a long time before moving back to his natal Managua Nicaragua...some of you probably remember him from the Gold Coast years back in the early 2000's.
