BabyKian went into sudden cardiac arrest and respiratory failure on February 25, 2022, a few short weeks after his first birthday, every measure was taken to resuscitate him and finally after 45 minutes his heart starting beating again, due to a lack of oxygen or no oxygen to his brain he suffered brain damage called an anoxic brain injury, his brain also swelled and caused over 20 seizures, in a nut shell he has global brain damage which plays a vital role in his over all health, he was placed on a ventilator for over a month, had 2 failed extubations before finally being able to breath on his own, he is currently on more then 10 medications to give him the quality of life he deserves, he is still hospitalized and will be for the foreseeable future, he has very high tone, CVI (cortical visual impairment) a feeding tube (G-Button) and other health conditions all due from his initial cardiac arrest, the doctors are leaning on a cerebral palsy diagnosis as of right now, it is not confirmed but to continue to receive vital care a diagnosis is important, so we can have a team of doctors who specializes in his specific needs. If you would like to donate to help continue his on going care and therapies as well as financial needs for his mom please donate any amount and even if u can’t just pls continue to pray, a lot of things are needed at the time including but not limited to a shower chair fit for him, a medical grade crib, a much bigger space for him and his needs, and so much more, he is dealing with over stimulation due to his brain injury, and even loud noises affects him, there is a lot he needs, which during these last few months have taken a toll on finances with being out of work to care for him, I’ll be returning to work but not sure how the future will plan out.
